We are pleased to invite you to a lecture with 2022 Wolf Prize Laureate Anne L’Huillier.

Anne L’Huillier is Professor at the Physics Department of Lund University and was awarded the 2022 Wolf Prize in physics for “pioneering and novel work in the fields of ultrafast laser science and attosecond physics and for demonstrating time-resolved imaging of electron motion in atoms, molecules, and solids”. Read the announcement of the Wolf Prize on the website of Lund University

She will give a an introduction to her field of research in this lecture titled Attosecond Light Pulses for Studying Ultrafast Electron Dynamics.

Extreme Ultraviolet light sources based on high-order harmonic generation in gases are now used in many areas of science. The radiation consists of a train of extremely short light bursts, in the attosecond range, allowing for
outstanding temporal resolution. HHG has opened the field of attosecond science, where ultrafast electron dynamics in matter is captured.

Anne L’Huillier has been invited to Copenhagen as part of the 2023 NORNDiP Conference taking place at the Niels Bohr Institute on May 24th and 25th. Find more information and sign up for conference here

This lecture is open to everyone and no registration is necessary
