Brief description of your work:

I teach mathematics and physics at high school level. Before leaving research in 2012, I had been doing post docs in both atmospheric chemistry and UV modelling.

What is the best career advice you ever got?

A good friend and former colleague usually cites yet another former colleague for saying “If you do extra work it should fulfill three criteria: give extra status, give extra pay and be fun”. I haven’t really followed that – usually the two first criteria weren’t met!

In celebration of KIF’s 30 Anniversary in 2022, we present a lineup of short profiles of some of the former board members who have helped build and shape KIF over the years. These women are excellent role models who show some of the many careers that are possible with a physics background.
