Our online network events last winter and spring were very popular, and we are therefore bringing them back! KIF Network is your chance to build and strengthen your professional network with women in the physical sciences across Denmark, and we look forward to seeing many of you for our next event.
At each event, we facilitate networking in small breakout rooms of 3-4 people, where the participants get a chance to meet and talk to each other. This is followed by a presentation.
This time, we are happy to present our speaker Laís Ozelin, who has a PhD in particle physics from the Niels Bohr Institute and now works as a construction data scientist at Ørsted. Lais will talk about how and why she made the jump from academia to the private sector, how she uses her physics skills, and what kind of work she does at Ørsted. You will have plenty of time to ask questions after the presentation.
A short description in Laís’ own words:
My team is a data and analytics group within construction of offshore windfarms and was created to improve how we use data in offshore construction. My tasks involve ensuring data collection of construction progress, analyzing these data, and helping people use the information in smarter ways. We are also interested in all possible data sources related to the construction process in in withdrawing all the information we can from them. I am the main data science developer in my team, so I help optimizing data collection processes, develop dashboards and web applications to show what we can do with all our data.
Participation is free and all are welcome!
