We are very happy to announce the details of our Annual Meeting 2019, and we have been looking forward to unveiling our keynote speakers: Professor Emerita Birgitte Possing and Associate Professor Liselotte Jauffred!

Birgitte Possing, Dr. Phil.

Birgitte Possing is Dr.phil. of comparative culture studies and author of a long list of books and articles relating to gender, culture and history. Her latest book ‘Argumenter imod Kvinder’ (Arguments Against Women) documents how ambitious, talented women have been systematically ridiculed, rejected and kept from power throughout the past 170 years of Danish history.

The title of her talk will be: “Arguments against women in science and politics from the childhood of democracy til today”.

Our second keynote-speaker is Liselotte Jauffred, who is Associate Professor in Biocomplexity at the Niels Bohr Institute. She is also co-author of the article ‘Gender Bias in Nobel Prizes’.

Title of talk: “Are enough women awarded Nobel Prizes?”
