Julie Kiel Holm is a master student at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen, in the AstroNu group which is part of the Niels Bohr International Academy.
As a master student, Julie’s academic focus is on transients. In her master thesis, she tries to model the expected neutrino signal from a specific part of the emission of Gamma ray bursts, and alongside that, she is working on a project at DARK where she is tracking the sodium absorption in core-collapse supernovae through their early evolution.
Aside from that, Julie works as a TA in various courses on the bachelor level, as well as an academic support teacher for students with special needs. Most of the time she has left is dedicated to voluteer work within the physics community, right now especially in the Physics Revue^TM, which this year puts up a show both in October and in April.
The prize committee will select a winner who will be announced at an award ceremony at the DFS Annual Meeting on November 14th, 2023 taking place at Hotel Nyborg Strand, Østerøvej 2, 5800 Nyborg.
The winner will be notified in writing in advance and invited to give a talk following the ceremony.
